Eleanor Roosevelt For many months now I have had this sense that the Spring Equinox (23rd September) was going to be an important date for Soul Sister Circle. I meditated on it, sat with pen at the ready waiting for the inspiration to come through thinking it would mark another luxurious Soul Sister Gathering but when nothing came to me I made the assumption that, this time, my gut feeling meant nothing.
Lesson 1: Gut feelings never mean nothing!
Over the past few weeks I have been extremely busy with seemingly back-to-back personal and professional commitments. I have worked tirelessly on the Soul Sister Circle website and time has flown by without so much as a thought about the impending Equinox. As I dutifully went about my work the days turned into weeks, the weeks into months and I was completely oblivious to the divine influences at play in my business. When everything seemed to be going against me and progress on the Soul Sister Circle website had all but stopped, I reminded myself of this simple little matra:

Everything in divine time

I had to embrace the idea that life was playing out exactly as it was meant to and trust that all the delays, hurdles and issues were in perfect alignment with a universal plan.
Lesson 2: Trust
Well my sisters, today is the 23rd September, also know as Spring Equinox, and it marks a very special day for Soul Sister Circle.

SIS_Bec Van Leeuwen A Colgate smile and wide open arms. This is how I would describe Bec Van Leeuwen, Founder and lady in charge of Soul Sister Circle. Anyone who has attended one of Soul Sister Circle's soul nourishing events would remember that ecstatic grin and the welcoming embrace they received from Bec on entering the room. This woman is a bundle of love and one hell of an inspiration!

IndieMy daughter is 20 months old today and it has dawned on me that despite her apparent lack of life experience, she is actually much, much wiser than I previously gave her credit. Today, while I busied myself with emails, errands, business development, laundry and shopping, Indie was content to explore her world, in the present moment. As I rushed my way through my to-do list, I realised that most of the items on the list involved thinking about and/or planning for the future. I sent emails to set up appointments that will happen in the future. I worked on my business plan that will help expand Soul Sister Circle in the future, which will ultimately earn me the money I require to pay for things in the future. Indie on the other hand, spent her entire day living in the here and now. She delighted in exploring in the garden, waving palm fronds around and walking with fresh blades of green grass passing between her toes. She was ecstatic when Sundae, our dog came bounding toward her for a taste of her milk arrowroot biscuit. And right now she is completely consumed by feeling of peas being squished between her finger tips.
